We believe leaders are not born, they are made. We pride ourselves in developing Hermanos who are not only involved on campus, but are active leaders striving to make real change within our community.

Through the events we host, positions we hold, and the initiatives we begin, our efforts always aim to tackle prominent and relevant issues on campus while continuing to uplift and improve the lives of the students here at Stevens.

Here are a list of some of the past events we have hosted and co-hosted:

  • Latinidad is Canceled - A guided discussion about the nuances of blackness in Latin America involving 3 alumni panelist whom have experienced different aspects of the racial dilmemma in their on way.

  • De-stigmatizing Mental Health - A mental health keynote speaker event that consisted of an in-depth discussion relating to the importance of mental healthy while offering practical strategies for reducing stress and having a higher quality of life.

  • Know my Name - A sexual assualt awareness and prevention event that discussed Channel Miller’s book, “Know my Name”, which talked about the People Vs. Turner criminal case that took place at Stanford University. Co-hosted with Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority Inc. and Omega Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

  • Machismo Talk - A guided discussion served to educate those about toxic masculinity while providing the platform to allow those affected to speak about their experiences.
