LUL has been at the forefront of issues affecting our communities, establishing pipelines for the next wave of scholars, and molding the leaders of tomorrow. For us it's not just an organization, it's a lifelong brotherhood and family.

About Us

La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated primarily seeks to take a leadership role in meeting the needs of the Latino community through academic achievement, leadership, promotion of cultural awareness, and community service.

Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc strives to become the premier Latino fraternity in the country. More specifically, we strive to become a nationally recognized Latino fraternal organization comprised of the best and brightest leaders committed to excellence in service and education.

Our Philosophy

The brothers of LUL are strong believers in shaping our own destiny. What separates us from the rest is our ability to inspire greatness in others. We have a remarkable work ethic that allows a small group of men to achieve the impossible, but more importantly create a unique family that we can return to years after. We are small, diverse, and tight knit, but we are not close minded or exclusive.

Testimonials

The brothers of LUL continually strive for excellence in all they do both on and off campus. Some of our strongest and most involved student leaders are brothers of LUL and our office holds them to the highest of standards. They strive to make an impact on the Stevens community through service, leadership in a wide array of campus organizations, and in celebrating their values and culture.
— Kristie Damell, Assistant Deant of Students
LUL men are wonderful examples and role models to other men on this campus and those who aspire to become college students. This chapter understands how to support not only the members of their fraternity, but other organizations on this campus. I often refer to them as the glue that binds the chapters on this campus. Whether taking leadership roles in freshmen orientation, residence life, or within the community, they leave their positive imprint behind wherever they go. I am proud of this group of men and will continue to expect this level of performance from them for years to come

Academic EXCELLENCE

Alpha Alpha strives to serve as a model for academic excellence. In addition to a 3.2 average GPA, LUL's national service initiative, PATHE (Providing Access To Higher Education), focuses on guiding middle and high school students towards college by participating in mentor programs, facilitating tours, granting scholarships, and advocating for the improvement of our educational system. In doing so, LUL hopes to increase the number of opportunities for children and adolescents to surpass their scholastic ambitions.

Leadership

Alpha Alpha firmly believes in developing leaders that shall provide, improve, and implement the tools for community empowerment. Our brothers are Orientation Leaders, Peer Mentors, executive board members of cultural and professional organizations, honor society members, and much more across campus. We believe an hermano of Alpha Alpha should strive to not only be a role model within the fraternity, but also on our campus and beyond.

community Service

Each year Alpha Alpha collaborates with individuals, organizations and institutions that will join its efforts to improve the conditions of the Latino community and all underrepresented groups. From volunteering at local community events, to lending our voices to movements we support, to collecting supplies to offer to those less fortunate, Alpha Alpha is continuously involved in helping our surrounding community.
