Brown & Gold Christmas

We devote ourselve to serving the community through our events and initiatives, with our goal being to have a consistent and long-lasting positive affect on those around us.

Our Brown & Gold Christmas initiative serves to bring joy in the form of gifts to youth in Hudson community who are not as fortunate. Families should not have to worry about the financial responsibilities during a time of bonding, which is where we come in.

Partnering with the Hoboken Housing Authority, we co-host our initiative with other organizations on campus to collect funds and donations. We finalize our initiative with a huge gift wrapping party to signify unity between the students, faculity, families, and friends present.

Last year, we were able to donate over 350 gifts, as well as specialized donations for 3 families that were in very critical conditions. This year, we are looking to collect over 400 gifts.

Engagement

We take pride in working alongside other organizations on campus to make a positive difference in our community. We have worked alongside the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, the Hudson County Boys and Girls Club, Jersey Cares, as well as other organizations on campus such as the Stevens Technical Enrichment Program and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Jr. Chapter.

Other notable events of we have co-hosted is our online coding webinar, which ties in with our PATHE initiative. Co-hosting with SHPE, we partnered with Garfield Middle School to virtually help students get exposure to coding using vex.vr platform.
